Happy days....

Story behind the bike:

I part exchanged my CB72 Honda for the Suzy and wow what a difference. The handling and acceleration were amazing in those days and six gears to play with as well!!!! I'll always remember having a 'race' with a mate in the IoM. He was on a Velocette Venom. On a long straight I pulled along side him head down arse in the air. Not knowing what gear I was in (as usual) I tried for another and found Sixth and steadily pulled away. He was not a happy bunny!!!!!!

Your site bought back some happy memories of 1967+ when I had the Super Six. It must have been 1967 that I fitted the Brealey Smith tank and seat to the Suzi. Later a fairing was added but I can't recall the make. What I can remember is the sudden rush you got when 6k rpm came on the rev counter...superb.

You can't talk about the T20 without mentioning the Crooks Suzuki's. Always immaculate and winning races with the late Malcolm Uphill and Frank Whiteway aboard - golden days. At the TT in 1968 I went along to a Suzuki Owners Club meeting; the club was called Suzuki Kai and was organised by Alan Kimber. There we met the great TT rider of yesteryear Stanley Wood.
I Still enjoying biking - riding on a 600 Fazer. My brother rides in the Classic series on a K4 so I might see you around this year.

Ride Safe,
Dave Prescott
