Hi
After honing the cylinders to the correct clearances[using suzuki rg pistons and a clearance of 3.5 thou at skirt]what would be the proper ring gap range?

Are you using them with one ring or two, road or race?

Either way, a small gap of about 10-15 thou is a good starting point. I think TZ Yamaha's recommend about 12 thou, but i may be wrong on this......

My CR pistons wear rings quickly and the gap becomes visibly larger after a few meetings. I chuck the old ones, fit new and check that there is some gap - then use them!
