We are building a T350 for road racing, and planning to run premix only , will the ouside bearings get enough lubrication with out any modification to the crank or cases.Or should we remove the oil guide plates that sit between the bearing and the flywheel ? I noticed on another post you recommend drilling a hole from the tranfer port to the bearing. What is your advice.
Thanks Al

You really should remove the oil guide plates - they serve no useful purpose and they can reduce premix flow to the bearing.
Regarding the transfer port drilling, you can see how I did this on my T20 racing page. I consider it to be a really useful thing to do as having an 'oilway' will allow pressure differences either side of the bearings to arise when transfer takes place, and this will help the petroil mix get to the bearings.
It isn't essential, but it gives your crank an easier life - and in racing that can mean the difference between a race win and a 'blown' crank!!
