What do you think is a good front guard to T20 Classic Racer? It should fit in with the original T20 forks, WM2/1,85x18" flanged alloy rim and Avon 90/90x18" tyre. As far as I know the original T20 front guard was used in the works TR250s. However the width of the Avon AM20CR tyre is 94 mm, too much with T20 front guard.

Hi Esa The original one looks good and has the advantage of acting as a fork brace. However, if it is too wide for you there are any number of cheap plastic 'after-market' type ones that will fit with a bit of work. I bought mine from Disco Volante motorcycles (link on Links page) but most bike dealers will have something. How about a TZ one? Many racers in the UK run their bikes without ANY mudguard at all! Hi Adrian Yes, Jim has told me that some time ago he has sold you a Rickman guard. Do you think it's good? You have mounted it with some kind of clips or how? Do you think the original T20 fork needs a fork brace? I mean, is the T20 fork stiffer with original front guard or some home made fork brace? Thanks again for your help! |

The one Jim sold me works well. I fitted it with two 'jubilee' clips and some rubber strips. It isn't the greatest guard I've seen, but it is small, light and works well. I have a twin sided 4LS front brake, so bracing is not as important a factor as with a single sided brake that trys to twist the forks. |

...never tried, but the KR is a tiny tyre and it certainly should fit. Even with a WM2 rim I can't see it being a problem. |
