Hi, I'm going racing this weekend on a T20 I recently purchased. I'm primarily using the meet to set up suspension, etc. The bike has a pair of gt250 forks on it. Can anyone tell me what weight oil these require and how much? They seem to be lacking in damping...

By the way - I'm in Brisbane Australia.

Regards,

150 cc's in each leg of hydraulic oil seems to work the best.
10/20 engine oil or ATF was recommended by the factory.

Thanks Spen, I'll take some out to the track with me and experiment.

I notice on this site that lengthening the swingarm is a common modification. What exactly is the reason for this mod? What aspect of the handling is it supposed to improve? My guess is it will slow down the steering a bit and maybe make it more stable in fast corners?

Thanks for your advice

It's done to make the bike more stable in a straight line.
I'm not over keen on the idea, I've seen too many botched attempts snap.........

I reckon there's a picture of Adrian's on here which snapped.......
