I'm planning to get Tagasako classic flanged rims to my T20 race bike but which sizes: WM1 (front) & WM2 (rear) or WM2 (front) & WM3 (rear)?

WM1 front and WM2 rear, it will be less unsprung weight and will afford a good tire profile

I have been looking for a vendor for these rims. I am in the USA and am trying to find a set of shouldered alloy rims, WM1 and WM2, for a street racer project I am working on. I am also looking for a set of tires to fit the rims under the original fenders. So if you guys can help me out that would be great. I could e-mail picks of my project to any one interrested. I have to leave town for the next week but I will access this sight while gone. E-mail me with any info you might have for me. teamvisegrip@yahoo.com Thanks Mark.

There is loads of room under the back fender - most modern tyres of around 3" (90/100?) will fit. Not sure about the front though...
How big a tyre do you want? Do you want a road or race tyre? The classic racers are all using the new Dunlop 2.75/3.75 KR825 at the moment - a superb little tyre. I'm getting one on mine before the next race - it is a very small tyre and will easily fit in under the front fender.

If I understand it right, racing tires are not the best thing for the street. They need to be heated up from running at speed. So the question is, is the Dunlop tire just for racing or is it a street tire that the racers use for the track. I think I have found a supplier of the flanged rims in the WM1/WM2 sizes but I am still waiting to hear back from them. I asked for them to recomend a set of tires too. So I will have to wait and see.

The Dunlop is a treaded racing tyre - not for road use it says, but bloody good!!
There are several manufacturers of 18 x 3" and 18 x 2.75 road tyres though - you won't have a problem getting some.
