On recently acquired T20 I have an old style log book which gives ownership til 1971.The log book contains the reg no and the last digits of the engine and frame nos. DVLA wrote back requesting full frame and engine nos. I cannot find the full frame no. on the headstock! would I be safe to quote them the no I have in log book but prefix it with T20? I do not want a Q plate if at all possible.
advice appreciated.
thanks
T Arpans.

look on the frame webbing at the rear right of the engine, the frame number could be stamped on there

Nope it doesn`t appear to be there either.I`ve got to admit that the `metal` does not appear to have been tampered with on both frame webbing and headstock, but still no No.
Can I prefix the NO. I have of the logbook with T20 to get it registered?

Stan, the number was ALWAYS on the frame webbing as T Arpans says - It was never on the headstock. Is it badly covered in paint(or well covered in paint!)? so that it can't be seen? Have another look....

I know one guy who has a brand new frame for T20. He told that there is no frame number at all, because the frame was sold as a spare part by Suzuki...

Ok I will rub the paint on the webbing with wet & dry just to be sure. On the other point `new frame` with no no. would this mean a Q plate? which I want to avoid. I am hoping to `brass neck` it with DVLA and prefix the log book no with T20 that should then tie up with their records.....I hope :-)
thanks for the help with this guys ..appreciated
