The internal diameter of the inner tube guide bushes is 34 mm. The external diameter of my fork inner tubes (stanchions)is 33,9 mm after replating. Is there too much clearance? Unfortunately I didn't measure the stanchions before take to replated. |

I wouldn't have thought .9 of a mm would be a problem, the clamps should pull in that bit more to make up for it. See what Adrian thinks. |

Sounds OK to me. You have to have some clearance, and when you assemble they do have a habit of tightening up. Best bet is fit it all together (well oiled) and see. |

Why would you need to be well oiled Adrian?? Surely it would be better to be sober when re-assembling the forks. |

It sounds allright tom me: it might look on paper big but in reality, such a diameter difference shouldn't matter and is probably needed for things to work. Put it all together and test, well oiled up of course! |
